Our steam powered crane has 100-ton capacity. It was built by the Industrial Works of Bay City, Michigan in 1907 for the Nevada Northern Railway. We are going to use it to lift a Balwin VO diesel locomotive prime mover that weighs 35,000 pounds. THere are other videos on our page showing the lift. The crane is now in position, the spreader bar is on the big hook with the lift chains dangling down. As Josh says they could do it as a maypole.
