We call this “The Rock Jump” on one of the most rugged trails we ride. This is about a 2 foot cliff that we have to work our way down. The reason our guide Owen is walking the mules down this part is because it’s so steep after the rock, that the mules can’t go slow enough to keep them all safe. To keep from jerking any of the string off the cliff, we break our strings up in no more than three and walk them down slowly, making sure each mule gets down safely.
