Deputies arrest Mission man for crude oil theft
Jan 7, 2025 · A Mission man faces charges of theft of petroleum product from a well site near Poth. According to Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Clint Garza, a call was received on Dec. 29 from a representative of EOG Resources Inc., an independent oil and gas company, reporting a theft in progress by a wastewater truck.

Effective Dec. 9, Wilson County has imposed a fireworks restriction for the upcoming holidays. The Wilson County commissioners approved banning specific fireworks due to ongoing dry conditions and fire danger.
