Phyllis Ann Love[citation needed] (December 21, 1925 – October 30, 2011) was an American theater and television actress. [1] Love was born in Des Moines, Iowa. Her parents were Jack Love, who owned a food market, and Lois Love, who owned a cafe prior to marriage.

Love's best-known film role was as "Mattie Birdwell" in William Wyler's Friendly Persuasion (1956). Love guested in numerous TV programs in the 50s, 60s, and 70s but enjoyed her greatest success on the Broadway stage.
