Jan 15, 2024 · I just use Resmed 11 cpap with mask covering only the nose and the tube in the back of my head. Also I use 3M tape for my mouth. It works really well together. Prior with taping my mouth, I ended with three loose teeth and painful jaw.

Jan 15, 2024 · I read about mouth taping in a book called Breath by James Nestor. He recommended cutting a piece the size of a postage stamp and just sealing the front of the lips. I follow that advice and have not once been wakened with that awful dry mouth, and my respiratory issues have generally been much better.

Sep 9, 2024 · I did try taping my mouth closed but it didn't really work for me and you might need to use special tape that isn't too difficult to take off of your mouth. You can also try a head/chin strap to keep your mouth from opening at night. I use XlyiMelts to help with dry mouth but they may not work for everyone.

Mar 12, 2023 · I use mouth tape now, but I have to leave a section in the middle of my mouth open to let this air escape. I still need to wake up to blow it out and I do this ALL NIGHT LONG. I have gotten no answers that have helped me. Everyone says to park the tongue at the roof of the mouth. I have a tiny mouth. There is nowhere else for the tongue to even go.

Mar 12, 2023 · If you are a mouth breather, that's why. I breath through my nose, unless the nose piece needs adjusting, you can't talk with the nose piece in either. Just be sure and keep mouth closed and tongue out of the way as not to block those 2 little holes in the upper back of roof of mouth where air comes from. Other than that, just practice with it.
