May 13, 2022 · I've always wondered what abilities other color Pikmin might have. I figured the most likely colors to be added would be orange, black, green, and, brown. (I basically used the Jinjos from Banjo-Kazooie as a mock up of colors would plausible)

Jun 1, 2024 · Part of it is also that a pure black pikmin would be hard to see in dark areas (especially given Pikmin 2's greater focus on caves). It's actually fairly common in animation and drawing to color something dark purple for visibility when it's supposed to be pure black or "shadow" or "darkness" or something like that. Jan 17, 2021 · So, while watching youtube on pikmin 2, I noticed that the purple pikmin look more black than purple in-game. So that begs the question: were they originally black pikmin? Nintendo likes to take out racism from their games by changing the color of characters skins from pure black to purple (like Jinx from Pokemon).

Mar 29, 2023 · Black Pikmin had fur on their body so I think they were gonna be immune to cold probably. With Ice Pikmin though this kind of makes it almost too similar to that. There doesn't seem to be any ice hazard and I think Ice Pikmin just freeze things, but having two Pikmin that have an ice-related gimmick is a little much.
