WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Several area teams advanced on Friday in the WIAA boy’s basketball tournament. In the Division 1 bracket, #8 Wausau West took down #11 D.C. Everest 61-45. In the Division 2 bracket, #1 Wausau East avoided the upset against #8 Merrill. They beat the Bluejays 52-50.
