Tens of thousands of people were expected to gather in Seoul on Sunday to rally for or against impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol a day after his surprise release from detention.

On the 9th, two days after President Yoon Suk Yeol's release, impeachment rallies will be held throughout downtown Seoul. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the Love First Church, led by Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon, will hold its Sunday service at 11 a.m. near exit 2 of Hangangjin Station on Line 6 in Yongsan-gu.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, who lawmakers voted to impeach, was released from detention Saturday after spending nearly two months in custody under a criminal probe for his martial law declaration.
