A man is dead after a deputy-involved shooting in Orange County. It happened on Castle Street, east of Orange Blossom Trail. “Deputies responded to the 100 block of West Castle Street, referring a burglary in progress,” said Mark Canty, Orange County’s Undersheriff.

An investigation is ongoing after a deadly deputy-involved shooting over the weekend. The shooting happened Saturday night at a home on West Castle Street in the Pine Castle area. The home is not far from Lancaster Elementary School and Walker Middle School.

Pine Castle, resulting in deputies killing one of the men who was armed with a knife, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. What’s not yet clear is whether that man was the homeowner or a suspected burglar.
