The National Weather Service out of Austin in its Saturday morning forecaster's discussion noted that "rounds of showers and isolated thunderstorms" are likely through the evening for much of the Central Texas region,

The death toll from flooding in central Texas rose to at least 24 people with 20 girls at a camp unaccounted for, officials said.

Local officials said they have rescued or evacuated more than 200 people since the Guadalupe River flooded early Friday morning, but the fate of more than 20 girls missing from a camp remains unclear.
