Coach Jonathan Smith, who signed a pair of three-star prospects on Wednesday to wrap up the 2025 class, now has two players in the fold for the 2026 cycle. Joey Caudill, a three-star tight end from Ohio, committed to the Spartans late last month.

Kayd Coffman, a three-star prospect out of East Kentwood High School, announced his commitment to Michigan State Friday.

Coffman, standing at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, plays his high school football at East Kentwood. He is a 4-star prospect according to On3 sports. He holds additional offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Iowa State, Ole Miss and Syracuse, while Iowa was showing interest.
