A demonstration at Los Angeles City Hall has shut down a portion of Spring Street in downtown on Saturday, police said. Protesters in opposition to the Trump administration’s deportations and stance on immigration have flocked to downtown LA for a second weekend in a row.

The march was the latest show of defiance by supporters of immigrants in the face of a crackdown by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, known as ICE, in the wake of Trump’s swearing in to his second term on Jan. 20.

Sleep is hard to come by because of constant fear and uncertainty. But, she says, it is better than the alternative: “If I go back to Honduras, they will kill me.”
