Ice cream makers representing about 90% of the U.S. supply of the frozen treat have pledged to remove artificial dyes from their products in less than three years, federal health officials said

Makers of over 40 top ice cream brands have pledged to stop using petroleum-derived synthetic colourings in two years’ time.

Dozens of U.S. ice cream producers are planning to remove artificial colors from their products by 2028, a dairy industry group and government officials said on Monday.
