PARIS — Dua Lipa is the new face of Chanel. The “Houdini” singer, who attended the brand’s haute couture show on Tuesday in a floor-sweeping black cape, stars in the new campaign for its 25 handbag, and it promises to be as catchy as one of her earworm tunes.

A direct descendant of the revolutionary 2.55—which, at 70, remains one of the most sought-after handbags in the world—the Chanel 25 mirrors its time. The bag is crafted in supple, lightweight quilted leather, and the medium and large sizes come with a handy clutch that also can be worn solo, depending on the occasion.

Dua Lipa modeled two different looks at Chanel's spring 2025 couture fashion show in Paris on Monday. The singer opted for all-black ensembles from the French label's fall 2024 couture and resort 2024 lines,

Among the flutter of familiar faces who graced the scene was none other than Dua Lipa. The 29-year-old joined French Hollywood veteran Marion Cotillard on the house's FROW, sporting an operatic black cape that kissed the floor as she walked.

Chanel's show was unsurprisingly star-studded, with Dua Lipa, Lily-Rose Depp and Kylie Jenner dressed in signature styles from the fashion house's archives. Blackpink's Jennie Kim was among the other A-list onlookers at the Grand Palais.
