Lautaro Martinez is on target as Inter Milan take a commanding lead against Feyenoord in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
After eliminating Italian giants AC Milan in the playoffs of the UEFA Champions League, Feyenoord will host the Rossoneri's city rivals Inter in the round of 16 of the European competition. Both sides are deeply affected by injuries and both managers Robin van Persie and Simone Inzaghi will be forced to change their teams ahead of the first leg that will take place in Rotterdam on Wednesday.
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was happy with his team's attitude in their 2-0 win at Feyenoord in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday after the hosts caused big problems for the Italian side.
The countdown to kick-off has begun. Inter will take on Feyenoord in the Champions League 2024/25 Round of 16. Inzaghi's side will play the first leg in The Netherlands on Tuesday 5 March at 18:45 CET, while the second leg will be played at San Siro on 11 March at 21:00 CET.
Meanwhile, the visitors' injury crisis continues, and as many as 10 men could miss the trip to Milan. Most notably, Hwang In-beom, Bart Nieuwkoop, Gernot Trauner, Calvin Stengs, goalkeeper Justin Bijlow and captain Quinten Timber are unavailable.
