The team from Summerlin South Little League representing Las Vegas, Nevada, will play for the Little League World Series title on Sunday afternoon. Las Vegas defeated Connecticut, 8-2, to win the United States championship on Saturday.

Chinese-Tapei reached the title game last year but fell to Florida. They have not won the Little League World Series since 1996. Nevada has never won the Little League World Series. First pitch for the championship game is set for 3 p.m.

Nevada defeated Connecticut — which beat St. James/Smithtown to reach the Little League World Series — in the United States championship game.
