Bates looked stunned when her name was called as winner for Best Actress In A Drama Series, letting out an expletive before she made her way to the stage. In her acceptance speech, she thanked CBS/CBS Studios executives George Cheeks, Reisenbach and David Stapf.

Kathy Bates took home the win for best actress in a drama series at the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards on Feb. 7. Before taking the stage, Bates was visibly stunned by the recognition and couldn't stop dropping F-bombs on her way up.

Network TV dramas remain immensely popular on the small screen into the 2025 TV schedule, but anybody who stays tuned into the awards circuit knows that the big wins usually go to either streaming or premium cable shows that don't produce 20+ episodes in a season.
