Amanda Jones of Anderson was camping along the Guadalupe River near Kerrville with her husband, four children, and three dogs when storms began moving through the area late Thursday night. They arrived at their campsite on July 3 around 3 p.m. and had settled in by early evening, pitching their tent roughly 20 yards from a tributary of the river.

A part of Kerr County is under a Flash Flood Warning until 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The Guadalupe River is expected to rise up to two feet higher. Nearly 70 deaths have been reported in Kerr County as of Sunday afternoon.

Searchers are moving on foot through rough terrain, looking for survivors or victims’ remains in woods, culverts and other places.
