FX's Dying for Sex is inspired by a real terminal cancer patient who began a journey of sexual exploration when she got her diagnosis

The plot of the new FX-produced miniseries “Dying for Sex,” out April 4 on Hulu, covers some heavy subject matter: When 40ish Molly (Michelle Williams) learns she has terminal cancer, she leaves her sexless marriage and embarks on a quest to figure out what satisfies her sexually before she passes away.

Rob Delaney, Jay Duplass, Esco Jouléy, Sissy Spacek and David Rasche elevate this lovingly raunchy “cancer comedy” about a woman chasing sexual fulfillment before she dies.

Michelle Williams' new series "Dying For Sex" explores death, chasing desires and the power of best friendships. The FX series is streaming on Hulu.
