Hernández spent the last two seasons in LA — his second stint with the team — after the Red Sox traded him to the Dodgers in 2023. He helped Los Angeles win the World Series when he batted .278 with five hits (one triple) and three runs in the five-game series against the Yankees.

The Boston Red Sox still need another right-handed bat in the lineup, and could potentially fill that void with a trade for St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado.

The Red Sox have been immensely successful without such an honor for years. Since BA began their rankings, Boston has eight Wild Card berths, nine division titles, five pennants, and after ending their 86-year drought in ‘04, four World Series titles, the most by any team this century.

The Boston Red Sox have to make a couple more moves this offseason to consider it successful, and to get fans off their backs. A trade for a young star pitcher could be a good start, and this one proposed by Fansided's Zach Pressnell could be as good as any.
