Al Roker was nowhere to be seen on Tuesday's episode of the Today show following the heartbreaking news his ex-wife Alice Bell had died at the age of 77

After skipping the NBC morning show’s Tuesday, February 11, episode, Roker, 70, was back in action on Wednesday, February 12. He snapped a selfie with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts following the Super Bowl LIX champ’s interview on the show’s first hour.

Alice Bell, who was once married to Al Roker for 10 years, has died at the age of 77. The news was confirmed by the former couple’s daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, whom they adopted in 1987.

Bell and Roker worked together at WNBC in the early 1980s, where she was a producer and he was the weatherman.
