Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that excluding his country from talks between the U_S_ and Russia about the war in Ukraine would be “very dangerous.”

President Donald Trump says his administration has already had “very serious” discussions with Russia about its war in Ukraine and that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin could soon take “significant” action toward ending the grinding conflict.

Trump has said repeatedly he wouldn't have allowed the conflict to start if he had been in office, even though he was president as fighting grew in eastern Ukraine between Kyiv's forces and separatists backed by Moscow.
