Multiple short-range ballistic missiles were fired by North Korea from an area around its eastern port city of Wonsan, South Korean military officials said.

South Korean military detected the launch of several short-range ballistic missiles by North Korea towards the East Sea, reports Yonhap. The Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) stated that the missile launches could have taken place from the northern coastal city of Wonsan (North Korea).

North Korea has fired various types of short-range ballistic missiles into its eastern sea, according to South Korea's military, which was analyzing whether the tests were linked to the North’s weapons exports to Russia amid the prolonged aggression in Ukraine.
