Authorities in Harnett County are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in the fatal shooting of Alfredo Escalona Mares at a Sanford gas station.

A shooting took place at 5331 NC-87 at Marathon Gas in an incident that deputies said was a robbery. An employee of the gas station was shot dead.
