Everyone wants to see a pair of Nova Scotian superstars united but nobody said which two. The latest edition of TSN’s Insider Trading segment dropped a whopper about Brad Marchand.
The defending Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers made their first big move ahead of the NHL trade deadline by acquiring hard-nosed forward Trent Frederic from the Boston Bruins
The Devils confirmed that the Bruins are shipping Trent Frederic and Max Jones to the Edmonton Oilers as part of a three-way trade with the New Jersey. The Bruins will get a Max Wanner, a lesser defenseman prospect, and two draft picks — a second-rounder in 2025 (from St. Louis) and a fourth-round pick in 2026.
Boston Bruins top trade candidate Trent Frederic is week to week with a lower-body injury and is unlikely to play before the trade deadline.
The Bruins have dropped six of their last seven and now have two points and three teams standing between them and the final playoff spot.
