BAR HARBOR, Maine (WGME) -- A Florida man died after a canopy collapsed on him at a Bar Harbor hotel on Monday. Crews responded to the Bar Harbor Regency Hotel around 6:45 a.m. for a report of a large canopy that had collapsed. One person was reported to have been trapped underneath the collapsed canopy.

The Bar Harbor Fire Department responded to 123 Eden Street at 6:46 a.m. Monday to a report of a large canopy that had collapsed, according to a press release from the Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island Police Departments.
