It's never too early to look ahead to the next college football season. Here's a look at the top matchups of a loaded schedule to start 2025:

A day after the title game, new odds were released and more way-too-early top 25 polls were dropped. One of them was from Bill Bender of Sporting News, and he had Texas at No. 1 with Ohio State at No. 2. The rest of the top 10 were Georgia, Penn State, Oregon, Notre Dame, Clemson, Alabama, LSU and Miami (FL).

There will surely be quite a few changes made by both of these sides over the offseason that alters this line, but since they are fresh off a title victory, Ohio State is going to open as the favorite. It also doesn't help Texas that their starting quarterback, Quinn Ewers, won't be returning to the team after he declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
