The Kraken traded two popular veteran players Wednesday as the NHL's deadline for moves nears. Yanni Gourde and Oliver Bjorkstrand are headed to the Tampa Bay Lightning as part of a three-team deal that also involves the Detroit Red Wings.
With the goal of entering the final stretch of the NHL season strong, the Tampa Bay Lightning have added two players, one of whom is a Stanley Cup champion, in a major trade with the Detroit Red Wings and Seattle Kraken.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Lightning are trading for forwards Oliver Bjorkstrand and Yanni Gourde from the Seattle Kraken for a package which includes two first-round picks.
