AUSTIN (KXAN)— Officers and emergency staff across Central Texas said they’ve been responding ... to 16 collisions between midnight and 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) cameras also caught big crashes.

Texas was hit with winter weather in the central and southeastern portions of the state, which has caused numerous Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) driver license office locations to close. Texas DPS said the customers affected by these closures are being notified and their appointments will be honored at the customer's convenience.

The Texas Department of Transportation announced that the westbound I-2 Sugar Road exit ramp, in Pharr will be closed. The ramp closure will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m.
