Sunday looks to feature the greatest threat — more than 25 million people are in an enhanced risk zone, which covers much of the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys.

Sunday will likely be the most active day for severe storms this weekend, as the threat area stretches across much of the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Valleys, Tonks said. Over a dozen states may be at risk of severe weather Sunday, AccuWeather predicted.

Any area in the storms path could experience severe weather for up to two hours, according to the National Weather Service.
