Patrick Cooney, 37, was found guilty of second-degree murder in the April 1, 2023, killing of Elijah Lewis and first-degree assault in the shooting of Lewis’ 9-year-old nephew.

The charges were filed on Wednesday. Court documents show Elijah Lewis was driving near East Pine Street and Broadway on April 1 when he cut off Patrick Cooney, who was on a scooter.
