Novak Djokovic has made winning against the odds become routine. The Serb found a a way to frustrate the life out of Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinals at Melbourne.

Alcaraz, meanwhile, is attempting to become the youngest man in the history of the sport to complete a career Grand Slam. The 21-year-old won the US Open in 2022, Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024 and the French Open in 2024. But he has never reached the final four in Melbourne.

Djokovic’s four-set victory over his young rival sets up a semifinal with second-seeded Alexander Zverev and keeps alive his hope of a record 25th Grand Slam title.
