Researchers are seeking a breakthrough on how to get rid of PFAS, which have been found in drinking water, food packaging and soil.

M has agreed to pay New Jersey up to $450 million to settle a claims accusing the Minnesota-based company of widespread contamination from so-called forever chemicals, which have affected drinking water in the state.

The EPA announced planned on Wednesday to roll back some of the federal drinking water standards set last year to address forever chemicals, known as PFAs.

Supporters say the bill would protect farmland in Texas. Opponents say limiting PFAS chemicals in biosolids will force water utilities to look at other disposal methods, which will lead to higher utility bills.
