Jeff Lynne, 77, has canceled what was expected to be Electric Light Orchestra's final live show as he battles a systemic infection.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, a spokesperson confirmed that Jeff Lynne canceled his final ELO show at BST Hyde Park in London on Sunday, June 13, due to a "systemic infection."

The 77-year-old said in a statement that he was "heartbroken" by the cancellation, but "must focus on his health and rehabilitation at this time.”
