It wouldn't be a Nintendo console without a Zelda, and the Nintendo Switch 2 is no exception, though it came in a form we weren't expecting. During today's Nintendo Direct, we learned that Koei Tecmo is making a new Hyrule Warriors game: a Tears of the Kingdom prequel called Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment.

Nintendo announced another prequel musou Zelda game with Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment. To detail exactly when the game takes place in relation to Tears of the Kingdom would be a spoiler, but know that it will theoretically cover a gigantic war that takes place in Hyrule and may potentially not feature Link.

Age of Imprisonment is a new entry in The Legend of Zelda series, where Princess Zelda once again takes on the main character role.
