The Golden State Warriors received a positive injury update on Jimmy Butler with their season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers a week away.

Jimmy Butler will once again see action in the Golden State Warriors' second preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

James has yet to participate in a full practice since the Lakers opened training camp last week, and coach JJ Redick said James was “on his own timeline” Thursday after practice.
