An agreement with the government of Nicolás Maduro will allow the deportation of hundreds of thousands back to the authoritarian socialist regime many have fled.

U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy Richard Grenell said on Friday he was headed back to the United States with six American citizens, a surprise development after he met with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in Caracas.

Richard Grenell, the envoy for special missions, said he was flying home with the detainees after he met with President Nicolás Maduro.
