Former NBA center Elden Campbell, who played most of his career for his hometown Los Angeles Lakers, and later won the NBA Finals with the Detroit Pistons, has died.

Elden Campbell, who rose to fame while playing in the NBA for 15 years, has died at the age of 57.

The 6-foot-11 center spent 8 1/2 seasons playing for the team he grew up watching from 1990 to 1999, playing alongside NBA legends Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.
