More than 2,000 people were expected to watch marchers from a range of local Irish groups, including the Claddagh Mhor Pipe Band, Stillson School of Irish Dance and the Portland Gaelic Athletic Association.

The Irish American Club's St. Patrick's Parade will be held on Sunday at noon in Portland. The route goes along Commercial Street, to the Fish Pier, and finishes around the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal building.
