Twenty-five NCAA DI men’s hockey players will compete against international competition as part of the U.S. Collegiate Selects team at the Spengler Cup for the first time in the tournament's 102-year history.

The Selects, who were projected to be the worst team at the Spengler Cup by gambling sites, beat HC Sparta Praha 5-3 in the tournament semifinals to reach the championship match. They'll play for the title at 5:10 a.m. Central on Wednesday. The game will be carried for free on YouTube.
