a sub-canopy layer of trees and tall shrubs, and a ground layer of herbaceous vegetation. Tropical forests have the highest biodiversity and primary productivity of any of the terrestrial biomes.
Much like deciduous forests, tropical rainforests are made up of a number of layers. The ground layer is very dark and due to the heat is very steamy, with only 2% of light penetrating through.
Similar to a tropical rainforest, deciduous woodland is made up of four different layers. Depending how wet it is on the ground, you may find mosses, fungi, leaf litter and decaying wood.
