French police closed traffic to and from Paris Gare du Nord train station on Friday after an unexploded World War II bomb was found on tracks leading to the terminal, according to AFP and local media.

March 7 (UPI) --All domestic and international trains at Gare du Nord, Europe's busiest train station, came to a halt Friday after an unexploded World War II shell was discovered, officials said.

Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot said that a total almost 500 trains were canceled and the disruption affected around 600,000 people at the Gare du Nord, France’s busiest train station.
