A portrait of President Donald Trump, painted during his first term and unveiled in 2019, is being taken down from the Colorado State Capitol after Trump criticized its depiction of him on social media.

The oil painting will be removed at the request of Republican leaders in Colorado’s state legislature, after the president claimed it was “purposefully distorted.”

Calling the portrait “truly the worst,” Trump blamed Colorado’s Democratic Governor Jared Polis and declared he’d rather have no portrait at all. View on euronews
