VERONA, Italy, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Atalanta thrashed lowly Hellas Verona 5-0 in Serie A on Saturday, with Italian striker Mateo Retegui scoring four times including a hat-trick before the break.
Retegui found the net in the 21st, 25th, 44th and 56th minutes. Ederson made it 3-0 in the 37th. The lopsided win lifted Atalanta to within one point of Inter Milan in second.
