The family of Cameron Duce has paid an emotional tribute to the 22-year-old, who died on Saturday from head injuries he suffered in an alleged assault in Burleigh a week earlier.

Cameron Duce, 22, died in Gold Coast University Hospital last month, a week after he was allegedly brutally assaulted after a night out at Burleigh Heads.

Cameron Duce was the only boy in the family - a younger brother to Brianna and older brother to Tayla. Cam made lifelong friends at Worongary primary, and later Merrimac High.
