Damonte Tabb, a safety from Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, announced Friday that he is signing with Auburn. He joins a list of several Auburn signees, including quarterback Rhys Brush and tight end DJ Broughton, to sign with Auburn after receiving interest from new head coach Alex Golesh during his time at USF.

Auburn coach Alex Golesh was the offensive coordinator under coach Josh Heupel for two seasons, including two with Tennessee football.

Although Auburn did not land the presumed favorite, former Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall, Tyler Nettuno of College Sports Wire feels that Auburn's offense will take a giant step forward under Golesh's leadership.
