Traditional owners say the newly dedicated Central Western Desert IPA has been a long time coming and is another "little jigsaw" piece in their efforts to protect the landscape.
The Yulara community has a new X-ray machine, which has been funded by the Anangu Communities Foundation and delivered in partnership with the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (CAAC).
The new IPA covers the Haasts Bluff Aboriginal Land Trust. Anangu Luritjiku ranger group co-ordinator Lynda Lechleitner said the IPA “brings all the communities together in managing our land”.
