Is speaker impedance, which is measured in ohms, important? Plus, do you need to match speaker and receiver ohm ratings?

A reading of 3.6 Ohms is about right assuming it is a 4 Ohm woofer. These numbers really have very little to do with the actual impedance of a speaker. Impedance is measured at frequency.
