The Trump administration is following through on its promise to impose 25% tariffs on certain goods imported from Mexico and Canada, and 10% on Chinese items on Saturday, all linked to the fentanyl crisis.

In Trump’s view, the 25% tariffs against the two North American allies and a 10% tax on imports from Washington’s chief economic rival are a way for the United States to throw around its financial
