No. 1 seed Southern California potentially suffered a big loss while earning a lopsided, 96-59 win in its second-round NCAA Tournament matchup vs. No. 9 seed Mississippi State on Monday in Spokane Region 4.

Some of best teams in women’s basketball are on their way to Spokane. On Monday, five teams earned their spots to compete in the third and fourth rounds of the women’s NCAA Tournament at the Arena, completing the field.

The last time Paige Bueckers played in Spokane, she left opponents dazed and spectators amazed. That was seven years ago at Hoopfest, when she led a team of high school all-stars to victory at Center Court.

Bueckers matched her career high with 34 points in her final home game before leaving to a standing ovation from the sellout crowd at Gampel Pavilion.
